Reach for the stars, never give up, and paint the sky with your dreams...

These are the Acknowledgements from Sky Paintings:

This book is dedicated to all the best friends out there, especially mine, past and present, and the husbands, boyfriends, children, etc., who love and put up with us through the marathon phone calls, inside jokes, and numerous stories you could care less about!

To my husband, Jim, for not only putting up with all of that, but for being there, supporting, and pushing me when it was needed. And for living with the craziness, the self doubts, rants and raves about this, and various other things.. I could never, ever have done this without you, no matter what you think! You helped bring this book to life in more ways than one, and that didn’t go unnoticed.  I love you, forever and a day!!

To my children, Alyssa and Jacob, for keeping me grounded, and keeping the days real, even when I wanted to get an ego about all this. Pretty hard to do when keeping up with a three year old and a five year old! Thanks to you both for being exactly who you are, and being excited for Mommy even though you don’t really get it, and even though this book is “only a chapter book”… I love you guys bunches and bunches!!

To my Dad and Peg, for being there, and having faith in me all this time that I could write. And for being proud of me, bragging me up to people, and just being a Dad when it comes to their youngest child! Thanks for everything you have said, and done for all of us in the last years; your support has been a huge blessing, and I’m glad you’re a part of our every day life. I love you!!

To my assorted family of in laws (outlaws, ha ha) for the supportive calls and genuine excitement for me, and some quotes and thoughts that I hold close when I’m having one of those days. This is another positive to overcome the negatives, and something I’m happy to be sharing with you all. Love you! And especially for our Granny, we all love you so much.

To Angie, who will forever be a G.B., no matter what, and another cause of marathon calls and stories and jokes… My poor, poor husband!!  You were my first best friend, you’re my oldest friend, and even when we have drifted in and out of one another’s lives, we still have that. We wrote together as kids, and I always said this was what I’d do when we grew up. Well, hey, we haven’t managed to grow up yet, but I figured I’d do this anyway! Thanks for being excited for me, and encouraging me. I won’t thank you for being right, because we all know I hate that! It’s your turn now! I love you!

To Shell, just because. You were there when I started this writing journey of mine, and you were part of the crowd that helped make me who I am today (scary isn’t it?) and also one of the best friends I had as a kid. Thanks for just being who you were, and for being a part of a past I still laugh about a lot. “Step step step…” and all that stuff.

To my other oldest friends, Jer and Jenn, who are both crazy, and who have been pretty excited about all this! But, knowing me growing up, you couldn’t miss that I wrote a lot, and loved doing it! But, the question is: will you actually read the book? Either way, thanks for all the encouraging words, and for being part of the gang way back when.

To everyone else who has been there for me, helped me out, or just thought this was pretty damn cool… my cousin Deana, Sr. Marie Stephen for critiquing my writing in 7-8th grades, Linda Runyan, my 2nd grade teacher, who just inspired the heck out of me. Crystal, KJ, Jenni, Penny and Maria for leading me to PA, promoting the heck out of me and just being an all around great group of girls.

Thank you all so, so much for everything you have said or done for me, in this and in my life in general. I could not have done this without any one of you, and without all the love and support I’ve been given. I love ya all!

And let me add here a huge thank you to Penny, for making her promotional banners, and to Penny AND Maria for putting me all over the message boards they frequent!
